Marcelo Behar
Marcelo Behar is a sociologist and lawyer who graduated from the University of São Paulo in Brazil. He has an extensive background working with NGOs and has also worked as a journalist covering Foreign Politics for Folha de São Paulo. From 2003 to 2009, he served the Brazilian government in various roles, including Chief-of-Staff in the Ministry of Justice, where he led the Brazilian Disarmament Campaign. He later became Vice-Minister in the Strategic Affairs Ministry.
In 2009, Marcelo Behar transitioned to the corporate sector, focusing on infrastructure. He joined Natura in 2013 and currently holds the position of Vice President of Sustainability and Group Affairs at Natura &Co., a global purpose-driven group that comprises Natura, Avon and The Body Shop – all of which are committed to address the climate crises, protect the Amazon, defend Human Rights and embrace circularity.
