Javier Rodríguez Soler started his career at McKinsey. Following five years with power company Endesa (currently part of Enel), where he was director of Strategy and M&A, as well as Head of Investor Relations, he joined BBVA in 2008 as responsible for the energy sector within BBVA CIB. In 2010 he moved to the Strategy & M&A area, where he became Global Head in 2015. In 2018, Javier was appointed President and CEO of BBVA in the USA, which was recently sold to PNC. In July 2021 Javier was named BBVA Global Head of Sustainability.
