Elbia Gannoum is economist and has been ABEEÓLICA (the Brazilian Wind Energy Association) CEO since September 2011. She has been active in strengthening the sustainable growth of wind energy, which is now the second largest source of electric energy in Brazil. She is recognized as an opinion-forming voice in the electric sector, with a constant presence in media and specialized media outlets, as well as publishing articles frequently. Since May 2020, Elbia is vice president representing associations on the GWEC Board.
